About Mike Urgo

Professionally, Mike has been a successful entrepreneur as both a consultant and retail store owner. He has worked in the financial industry for over 15 years in lending, retail banking, and commercial development. Mike has also worked in non-profits, helping to build major fundraising events through volunteer efforts and major gift donations. In addition, he has been at the forefront of compliance and contract management in the healthcare field. Mike now enjoys working directly through Farmers Insurance, where his firm provides top-quality insurance options to individuals and businesses in the local community.
As a leader and volunteer, Mike has dedicated thousands of hours to improving his local community. He served two terms as First Selectman (Mayor) of North Stonington, CT, promoting community wellness and executing the town’s strategic plans and initiatives. He currently serves as the President of the League of Conservation Voters, an organization devoted to environmental advocacy. Mike is also an advisory member of CT Voters First, focusing on voter reforms.
Mike was the Chairman of the North Stonington School Modernization Committee, successfully completing a $38.5 million renovation of the community's K-12 schools. He is a Past President of the Misquamicut Business Association, where he played a pivotal role in founding its signature fundraising event, The Aloha Luau. He has also served as Secretary of the Mystic Rotary Club and as President of the YMCA’s Westerly Dolphins Swim Team.
Additionally, Mike has contributed as a board member of organizations such as the Westerly Adult Day Center and the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE-RI). Over the past 15 years, he served on the Board of Finance for North Stonington and as a liaison to the Board of Education. For nine consecutive years, Mike mentored a child in the Westerly School System.
Education: Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Rhode Island and an Associate Degree in Business Management from the Community College of Rhode Island.
Personal: Mike lives in North Stonington, CT, with his wife, Jen, and their two children, Michael and Abby.

About Lynn Belanger
Lynn joined the Urgo Agency in 2019. Lynn resides in Mystic with her husband and two young children. She comes to the Urgo Agency with a strong financial background after working in the banking industry for 11 years before stepping out and taking time off to start and raise her family. Lynn also comes to us with a passion for volunteering and helping her community. She spent several years volunteering her time for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life serving on the committee and moving her way up to chairing the event. Lynn has also served on the board of directors for St. Marks Toddler Playgroup in Mystic, CT, and currently lends what free time she has in helping at her son’s school. Lynn and her family are active parishioners at St. Patrick’s church in Mystic, and often getting involved in various events at the church. In her spare time Lynn enjoys spending time with her family, going on hikes, visiting the beach, and baking. Lynn is currently helping manage the operations of the office and is fully licensed in Connecticut Property and Casualty Insurance. Lynn is happy to help our customers so call her anytime as she is eager to help with your insurance needs.

About Kristin Wenzloff
Kristin Wenzloff is a 6-year veteran of Farmers Insurance. The Urgo Agency acquired the Vita Agency upon Mary Jane's retirement and Kristin rejoined the team! Kristin is very familiar with all of our central Connecticut customers and is happy to help all of our clientele at any time. She is a graduate of Post University and enjoys helping customers understand their insurance while finding them the best options to fit their needs. She lives in Thomaston with her husband Kyle and children Aria, Summer, & Savannah and is currently expecting her fourth child in 2023.
